Studying: MSc Global Innovation Management
- I speak: English, Bulgarian, Japanese
I am Lili and I chose Leeds University because it was one of the few places that offered International relations and Japanese when I was choosing my undergraduate degree. This combination has allowed me to live for a year in Japan and learn the language I have a passion for. Leeds University has such a positive and multicultural environment; it offers lively atmosphere and there is so much to get involved in. It also has great facilities and student support system. This is why I decided to come back to Leeds again to continue my education with MSc Global Innovation Management at Leeds University Business School.
I used to live in Central Village in my first year and really enjoyed Sunday dinners and watching TV together with my flatmates; however I still had my en-suit room and privacy. Now I live in a rented shared house near campus and it is really convenient to be on a walking distance to university.
Other than my studies, I actively participate in activities at LUU. I used to be President of Eastern European society and then the Cultural Representative of the Union. It has been so interesting to share my culture and explore others in an interactive way. I was also part of Dance Expose society which required a lot of commitment in order to put up our annual dance show. I am a volunteer for Get Out Get Active and thus, go on hikes around Leeds almost every weekend. All of these extra curriculum activities and opportunities to meet new people with different background, share ideas and experiences are my favourite thing about Leeds University. In my free time I like to go for a walk by the river or just go for a coffee and shopping with my sister.
